What is the WITS/GAIN Interface?
The WITS/GAIN (Global Appraisal of Individual Needs) interface is unique to Idaho. The interface allows identified providers to access GAIN Assessment tools through the WITS system. Identified users have the ability to administer, edit, and save the GAIN Quick, GAIN Short Screener and/or the GAIN-I in the WITS system.
GAIN ABS Stand Alone Update
Here are instructions for updating GAIN ABS Stand Alones SSL certificate. This process will only update the SSL certificate and references to the certificate. It does not update other components of Stand Alone to the most recent versions of Stand Alone. This patch is meant to get your Stand Alone install running and ready to complete already scheduled interviews. Please contact ABS Support at firstname.lastname@example.org, or 309-451-7777 if you have any questions or trouble updating.
On a related note, we plan to push a future update to GAIN ABS, which would break the interview functionality of Stand Alone, requiring an update to Stand Alone. To prepare for this, we have updated our Stand Alone download site (https://www.gainabs.org/standaloneinstaller) with a new version of GAIN ABS Stand Alone. We recommend contacting your IT department to plan accordingly and update your existing Stand Alone install soon. This update is intended to install right over top your existing installation, as long as no clients exist on your Stand Alone system. You will need a Windows Administrator account to complete the install correctly. If your IT department has any questions, please contact ABS Support. I will send out another reminder regarding this update as we get closer to the GAIN ABS website update.
Contact the GAIN ABS Support Team if you have any questions or would like to attend GAIN ABS user training via LiveMeeting. Trainings are held every 1st Wednesday of each month at 8 AM (MST) / 7 AM (PST) and every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 12 PM (MST) / 11 AM (PST).

What is IWUG?
The Idaho WITS User Group (“IWUG”) is made up of staff in provider agencies and state agencies that have been trained in the use of WITS as an electronic health record. The IWUG holds a conference every other Thursday at 11:00 a.m. to assist users in provider agencies as well as staff at the Idaho Supreme Court, Idaho Department of Correction and Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections in identifying issues and asking questions. Each IWUG conference covers a WITS update on state agencies, provider progress, critical bugs and announcements, and a short training on a specific module in WITS.
