As of February 1st - Batching and Billing, Payments and Reconciliation will be required for all new providers. Agency WITS Admin Training will be required for all new treatment providers. 12/31/14 - WITS System Error Announcement: There have been reports of inability to delete encounters and the message, “the record cannot be deleted because it refers to a record” may be generated. This issue has been reported and is currently being addressed.

12/2/2014 - Providers may utilize the WITS system as their electronic health record (“EHR”) for private pay and self-pay clients receiving treatment for substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders only. Read more....
11/20/14 - Chestnut will be moving some of their systems hardware to a new location and as a result, there will be a GAIN ABS system outage from 7PM (MST) Friday Evening November 21, 2014 until 7AM (MST) Monday morning, November 24, 2014. Providers conducting assessments during this time should plan on using the paper copy of the GAIN-I Assessment, and then data enter it into GAIN ABS on Monday morning. 11/20/14 - The error identified in WITS on November 14, 2014 regarding a server error when reviewing a Claim Item Profile with a status of Released, Awaiting Review, or Hold has been resolved. Providers are able to view all Claim Item Profiles on the Claim Item List without error.
10/21/2014 - Effective October 27, 2014, the GAIN Usage Agreement will no longer be required when submitting requests for GAIN access. The only document required for GAIN access will be the GAIN ABS User Information Form. The current protocol for obtaining GAIN access will remain in effect regarding QSUDP status and having either GAIN certification or approved GAIN LT Trainee status.

10/1/14 - UPDATE: The error where the evaluator name was not displaying on a consented GAIN-I summary has been resolved.
9/26/14 - UPDATE: Consented GAIN-I summaries can now be viewed, but the evaluator name is blank. FEi is currently working to resolve this issue. Please check back for updates.
9/25/14 - Since the update on 9/22/2014, some providers have experienced various issues, including the inability to navigate between screens or save changes and WITS freezing. These issues have been attributed to the use of Internet Explorer 8. If you have Internet Explorer 8 installed on your computer you will need to update to Internet Explorer 11. If your agency has concerns about updating to Internet Explorer 11, please contact the WITS Help Desk at (208) 332-7316. Directions for how to tell what version of Internet Explorer you are running can be found at http://wits.idaho.gov/Portals/73/Documents/substanceUse/Internet%20Explorer%20Version.pdf.
9/22/14 - Agencies are currently unable to view GAINs that have been consented to them. Please contact BPA directly to make arrangements if you need to provide them with a GAIN prior this issue being fixed in WITS. Their phone number is (800)922-3406.

6/9/2014 - The WITS Help Desk is implementing a new process to assist in timely completion of security requests regarding WITS and GAIN. Requests will be referred back to the Agency WITS Administrator (AWA), in the form of an e-mail, when additional information is needed to complete setup or changes. This e-mail will detail any missing information on the form, will state the required action to be taken, and will include a due date for reply.
PLEASE NOTE: The WITS Support Ticket function has been fixed and is currently working properly. ALL security requests must be submitted via a WITS Support Ticket.
5/1/2014- FEI Critical Announcement regarding Windows XP and WITS.
4/14/2014- Updated WITS security access forms are posted on the WITS website. New permissions have been added and some other changes have been made. Please use these forms for submitting new requests.
3/11/2014- The WITS releases that update the system by correcting errors and adding improvements will now be named numerically and will occur on a biweekly basis. The release notes will continue to be available on the Systems Errors tab.

11/1/2013 -On Friday October 25th, you received correspondence from BPA regarding the ATR WITS Transition. We have since learned that the process for authorizing RSS services at Stand-Alone RSS agencies will be different in ATR WITS than it currently is for other WITS populations. Because BPA understands that this is a new process and may be challenging to implement in your office, we have worked on the transition schedule outlined in the communication below.

10/7/2013 - Submit Security Requests via Support Ticket -WITS and GAIN security requests, and associated documents, must be submitted via WITS Support Ticket effective 10-7-13. If you don't have scanning capability, you may fax documents to (208) 332-7305. Please don't send documents to the Help Desk e-mail anymore. Requests received in the Help Desk e-mail after 10-14-13 will not be accepted, and the sender will be required to resubmit the requests via Support Ticket or fax.
