5/9/16 - System Lag Update: 

FEi is diligently working to resolve the system lag issues within WITS. If you continue to receive time-out errors or yellow page notifications, please contact the WITS Help Desk with these errors. We will continue to forward these notifications to the programmers and will provide resolution updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience at this time.

5/9/16 - A scheduled outage will occur on Saturday, May 14th, 2016 from 3:00 AM - 10:00 AM (MST) to update the WITS system firewall.

5/2/16 - Regional Staff reports of 'yellow page errors' being displayed when cloning or adding medications on the Dispensary Ordering Screen has been escalated. At this time, the Dispensary Ordering screen issues appear to be intermittent, however, FEi has a team of their top engineers and architects working on the issue. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.


4/21/16 - A scheduled outage will occur tomorrow, April 22, 2016 from 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM MST in order to update WITS Production sites to 18.6.2.

3/28/16 - The WITS production sites intermittent issues have been resolved. 
FEI has confirmed that WITS production sites are currently unavailable. They are working to identify the problem and to resolve it as soon as possible.  The WITS Help Desk will provide updates as soon as they become available.

3/23/16 The WITS production sites intermittent issues have been resolved.
FEI has identified and resolved two separate high-profile issues - critical lag in WITS operation (slowness) and unintended redirection to the Facility selection screen. FEI determined that the critical lag witin WITS was due to a diagnostic logging process within the WITS system.  In order to resolve the critical lag in WITS operation, FEI has turned-off their logging system; however, FEI developers are working to make adjustments to the process in order to find a permanent resolution for this issue. This does not impact the capacity of WITS to perform audit trails on our data. FEI determined that the unintended redirection of users to the "Facility selection" screen occurs as a result of the update and release of the 18.x version of WITS and how this update affected those who use Internet Explorer 11 as the primary browser.  To resolve this issue and/or prevent this problem, add the WITS STS URL to trusted sites within the IE browser (see UPDATED Internet Explorer Safe Site Settings). Please continue to notify the WITS Help Desk if you are experiencing issues with WITS.
4:45 PM 3/18/16 FEI is working to identify the issue(s) causing WITS to run slowly/causing users to be redirected to the Facility selection screen. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available.
5:00 PM 3/17/16 FEI is diligently working to identify and resolve the issue. We will continue to provide updates as they become available.
5:00 PM 3/16/16 The WITS Help Desk is receiving reports that when staff are working in WITS, the screen goes white, and then the Facility selection screen displays. FEI is working diligently on the issue. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available. 

3/16/16 - The WITS Help Desk will be closed intermittently on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 for an in-service and an office move.  The in-service is scheduled from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM MST.

10:40 AM UPDATE: The issue has been resolved and Idaho Mountain and Idaho Pacific WITS sites are now available. 
10:00 AM UPDATE: FEI has identified the problem and estimates the Idaho WITS Production sites will be available after 12:00 PM MST.

2/26/16 - Idaho Mountain Production Site Performance Issue
3:30 PM The WITS Idaho-Mountain site continues to experience intermittent Lag time issues causing screens to time out and/or users to be kicked out of WITS. FEI is working diligently on the issues. Updates will be provided as soon as additional information becomes available. 
2/25/16 - Idaho Mountain Production Site Performance Issue
5:00 PM The issue with WITS Idaho-Mountain kicking staff out of WITS appears to be resolved after FEI applied a "real time fix" to our production site. Staff are still experiencing non-critical intermittent lag time issues. FEI is continuing to work on the issue. Updates will be provided as  soon as information becomes available.
2/24/16 11:00 AM UPDATE: The Idaho Mountain site continues to experience intermittent Lag time issues causing users to be kicked out of WITS. FEI is working to identify the issue(s). A new update will be posted as soon as we have additional information.
2/23/16 9:00 AM - We have multiple reports of WITS running very slow.  FEI is diligently troubleshooting the production sites performance issues.  We will post additional information as it becomes available. 4:00 PM UPDATE:  FEI developers are continuing to work on the issue. A new update will be posted tomorrow morning, February 24, 2016.

1/14/16 - Update on System Errors in WITS
Two of the critical issues reported on 1/11/14 have been resolved: Staff Credentials are now displaying correctly; Staff Members are now able to view the Group Notes module in WITS. 

FEI is continuing to work on resolving the additional critical issues impacting Support Tickets, Searching by Date Spans, Deleting Appointment, Staff Types are not working correctly.  Please review the System Updates tab on this website for additional information on all current issues in WITS.

1/11/16 - System Errors in WITS
The following issues have been identified in the system. SSRS access is currently unavailable, support ticket functionality is broken and will not allow submission of tickets, and deleting appointments using the scheduler in WITS is not functioning correctly. The WITS Help Desk will update this announcement as issues are resolved. Please check back for updates. 1/08/16 - WITS Production sites will be unavailable from 4:00 AM MST to 3:00 PM MST tomorrow

The WITS team is pleased to announce that on Saturday, January 9, 2016, WITS Production sites will be updated with the new Enhanced Architecture (EA). The changes that will be taking place in the new EA include but are not limited to a single page sign-on and a redesign of the Staff Module. The changes in EA are extensive, and will require all WITS Productions sites to be unavailable for approximately 11 hours. The System Updates section of the WITS website www.wits.idaho.gov will be updated later today with information regarding system errors in the new release and information on the specific enhancements included in the new EA.

12/31/15 - Providers may have received a notification of cancellation for page updates through ChangeDetection on WITS.Idaho.gov this week. Due to a system outage, the page monitoring system has cancelled all active subscriptions. To continue to receive notifications, please review the pages you wish to receive updates on and re-subscribe using the link at the top of the page that states, “Receive Notifications When This Page Is Updated”. 12/10/15 11:45 AM The issue has been resolved and phones are operating normally.
12/10/15 10:25 AM We are currently experiencing intermittent phone problems. Calls are not being directed correctly and therefore you may not be able to reach the WITS Help Desk. We can be reached by emailing DBHWITSHD@dhw.idaho.gov . We will continue to monitor the emails and respond as soon as possible.Updates to the situation will be sent as new information becomes available.

12/9/15 - The WITS team is pleased to announce that a new Security Protocol has been established and will be implemented in early January. This coincides with changes to the Staff Module of the new Enhanced Architecture in WITS.  The goal of the new process is to reduce paperwork, which will create efficiencies and allow staff to have more time to serve clients.  A complete document with details about the new security protocol will be e-mailed to all Agency Regional WITS Administrators (RWAs) shortly.

In line with changes in the security protocol, WITS will be updated with the Enhanced Architecture. Changes that will be taking place in the Enhanced Architecture include a single page sign-on and a redesign of the Staff Module. In addition, when a password is forgotten WITS will no longer email a staff member a temporary pin and password, but instead will provide an e-mail with a link to a new set of screens where the pin and password can be reset entirely by the user.

Functions utilized by Regional WITS Administrators (RWAs) such as enabling and locking accounts, adding credentials and creating staff profiles have also changed; please attend the Mental Health Call for a full summary of these changes.

RWAs will continue to be responsible for updating WITS and following security protocol.  The WITS Help Desk staff will audit records quarterly to ensure WITS is being maintained accurately and in a timely manner.

11/19/15 - The GAIN ABS system will be unavailable from 5:00PM on Friday, November 27th to 7:00AM, Monday, November 30th. Chestnut Health Systems will be updating system hardware, resulting in the outage. Any providers who may be conducting assessments during this time will need to perform the assessment on paper for data entry once the system has resumed on Monday morning.

11/13/15 - Currently we are experiencing a “bug” in WITS that is preventing users from creating a Group session from the Scheduler. Users are still able to Create a Group Session by accessing the Group List in the left-hand Blue navigation panel . View the Error Screen here.

11/12/15 - State employees may be experiencing intermittent internet issues. The issue is currently under investigation. Updates regarding internet connectivity will be posted as they are received. Update 11/13/15 - The issue is currently resolved. 10/19/15 - Providers will not be able to update/add a diagnosis in WITS on all In-Progress treatment plans and admissions with a start date prior to 10/1/2015.  Please request your Regional WITS Administrator submit a support ticket and include the client information and the desired diagnosis. The WITS Help Desk will process the Support Tickets and will add the diagnosis in WITS within 5 business days of receiving the required information. Thank you.

10/7/2015 - A bug has been identified on the claim item list. Providers are unable to change the status of certain claim items. if you receive the following message, "The Claim Item cannot be released because the related diagnosis on the Encounter has an invalid ICD version" please email the WITS Help Desk at dbhwitshd@dhw.idaho.gov with the encounter number and we will work with FEi to resolve the problem. Thank you.

8/28/15 - Drafts of DBH Proposed Rules - the Division of Behavioral Health has worked with has worked with providers, consumers, partners, stakeholders and other interested parties to review current IDAPA rules related to substance use disorders and draft proposed rule that allows community mental health and substance use disorder agencies to obtain state approval. Drafts of the text to be published as proposed rule are now available for review. 3/11/15 - Error in Admission – Substance Abuse Detail Value Code

If the following error message displays while completing the Substance Abuse section of the Admission:  “The selected substance detail value must match to the corresponding substance. 2/27/15 - New guidance documents have been added. Central Office Billing Protocols and Regional Billing Protocols can now be viewed under the User Guide Tab under "Mental Health Billing".

2/2/15 - Update in GAIN Episode Functionality

The GAIN ABS site has been updated to no longer allow user to manually create treatment episodes outside of those which are automatically create by WITS. This change will assist in greatly reducing the occurrences where users are unable to download the GAIN-I Summary back into WITS.

As always, it is very important that prior to starting a new GAIN that users make sure that a GAIN has not already been entered into an episode of WITS. If a GAIN has been enter in the current episode, the current WITS episode must be closed and the user will need to open a new WITS episode prior to beginning the GAIN. 

1/26/15 - Training Requirement Changes

 As of February 1st - Batching and Billing, Payments and Reconciliation will be required for all new providers. 12/31/14 - WITS System Error Announcement: There have been reports of inability to delete encounters and the message, “the record cannot be deleted because it refers to a record” may be generated. This issue has been reported and is currently being addressed.

7/22/2014 - The WITS Help Desk is pleased to announce that in the coming weeks, all WITS sites will be update with the new user interface currently referred to as WITS Beta.  Over the past five months, users have had the opportunity to participate in the testing of the new WITS user interface, and it is now ready to the fully implemented. Please refer to the training calendar for upcoming training opportunities on the new user interface.  Additional information will be sent out as we draw closer to implementation.

6/9/2014 - The WITS Help Desk is implementing a new process to assist in timely completion of security requests regarding WITS and GAIN.  Requests will be referred back to the Regional WITS Administrator (RWA), in the form of an e-mail, when additional information is needed to complete setup or changes.  This e-mail will detail any missing information on the form, will state the required action to be taken, and will include a due date for reply.

PLEASE NOTE:  The WITS Support Ticket function has been fixed and is currently working properly.  ALL security requests must be submitted via a WITS Support Ticket.  

4/14/2014- Updated WITS security access forms are posted on the WITS website. New permissions have been added and some other changes have been made. Please use these forms for submitting new requests. 


3/11/2014- The WITS releases that update the system by correcting errors and adding improvements will now be named numerically and will occur on a biweekly basis. The release notes will continue to be available on the Systems Errors tab.
